Our Pregnancy Yoga classes are welcoming and friendly - everyone is welcome. Most people are brand new to yoga when they join us for pregnancy classes but quickly find they take to it and feel great from classes.
Classes help relieve common pregnancy ailments, prepare you for brith and you can meet other mums-to-be! We always include Birth Breathing techniques to help during labour; offer practices to strengthen your body or increase flexibility; and ways to calm the mind with our fantastic guided relaxation and mediations. It really is an all round comprehensive approach, bringing the best in nourishing yoga together with the latest in scientific evidence.
Antenatal education is included in all our classes which are tailored to meet your needs. Classes are suitable from 15 weeks (if you are brand new to yoga, or begin earlier if you are familiar with yoga) to full term.
Birth Preparation (complete Antenatal Education)
Ideal for pregnant women and their birth partners - an all encompassing birth education programmes based on the latest science research and created in conjunction with expert, experienced midwives. Our Preparing For Birth antenatal education course is a complete birth preparation in itself which we have been running for over ten years and all our content is Yoga Alliance Professionals and FEDANT approved (the UK's awarding body for antenatal education in the UK).
Uniquely, this course combines the best in yoga and meditative practices perfect for helping during birth - including specific breathing techniques, positions and movements, and mindfulness and relaxation techniques - along with detailed scientific information about the actual processes of birth and local info about midwifery protocols and guidelines. It perfectly complements what you learn in our pregnancy yoga classes or via hypno-birthing courses. Essentially, we cover EVERYTHING you need to know to prepare for birth, including:

A wonderful way to bond with your baby, regain your strength, connect with others and feel great, one day at a time. These classes are specially designed to allow you to safely practice yoga with your baby by your side, or joining in. Or if you have some child care, come along and enjoy some well-deserved you time, child-free.
Classes are suitable from 6 weeks after a vaginal birth, or 8 weeks after a c-section, until your baby is on the move. As with any exercise after birth, it is always a good idea to get the all clear from your doctor before you start classes. Ask them to check whether you have Diastasis Recti (separated tummy muscles).
These classes run as a course over 6 weeks during term time. We take you through a progressive approach to help you build core strength and revitalise yourself class by class. Each term you will feel stronger and be able to do more. If you had a baby a year ago or more and never incorporated a dedicated postnatal training, you may not have fully strengthened your deepest core. Women's or Mother's Yoga - time out for you
This creative and varied class, draws on all aspects of yoga, is suitable for all ages and levels of experience and fitness - all women are welcome. The content is tailored to meet your individual needs and you will leave feeling calm and complete – ready to face the world again! Many of our post-natal mums progress onto this class to deepen and continue their practice, just chat to your teacher if you think you might be ready - and many women come along to prepare for conception or to heal ailments, such as back aches or depression.

Going beyond regular children sensory or play activities, WiggleBums also helps parents & carers connect with themselves more fully in their role and in turn enables better attachment and bonding.
WiggleBums classes are carefully and creatively crafted fun & exploratory yoga, play and sensoryfor children aged 1 year to pre-schooler AND their grown ups! You'll also find classes available in nurseries and primary schools with children up to aged 12.
Going beyond regular play activities, WiggleBums encourages development and helps parents and carers connect with themselves in their roles as care-givers; enabling children to grow and their parents and carers to understand the immense power and impact our thoughts, words and behaviour have on our children. Understanding that how we think, speak and act influences our children both now and for their future is central to these fun and imaginative yoga classes for kids. Our classes help foster feelings of security, confidence and happiness throughout early life, with tremendous benefits for our children as they become teens and adults. Think of this time as critical for laying the foundations for our children’s futures.
All this is beautiful woven into the fabric of the class using yoga, story-telling, movement, music, song, interaction, inspiration and free-flow creative exploration. Some of our teachers are also trained specialists in Baby Massage, and offer classes and courses in their local area. Baby Massage benefits both you and your little one hugely and is a wonderful opportunity to nurture your bond and support their healthy development. Doula Services / Massage Therapists / General Yoga Classes
A doula is a support person who helps a birthing couple practically and emotionally as they prepare for birth and at the birth itself and/or during the postnatal period. Several of our LushTums teachers are also fully trained doulas (and we know many as well), so If you are thinking of hiring a doula or finding out more about this, please let us know.
