Pregnancy Yoga & Birth Preparation Classes

Enjoy active and nourishing pregnancy yoga to feel more comfortable as pregnancy progresses and help you prepare for birth. Learn information and practice key tools to help you cope better in labour; including our unique approach on how to breathe, move and relax. Suitable from 15 weeks if new to yoga right up to when your baby comes. If you already practice, you can start earlier, just let your teacher know.

Postnatal Mum & Baby Yoga Classes

Classes help you recover from pregnancy and birth, regain your fitness and strength from the inside out, in a safe and progressive way over the course of several months. You can find some inner calm and connect with your baby while you make friends with other new mums. Having this space for you can throughout early motherhood can help you navigate all the changes and feel stronger mentally, physically and emotionally. Suitable from 6 weeks post vaginal birth or 8 weeks post c.section right up to your baby is on the move.

I was really keen to join a pregnancy yoga class for two reasons; I felt very unsure about how to continue with my yoga and exercise routine through pregnancy and I wanted to meet other expectant Mums. At LushTums in Penarth with Gabi I've been able to satisfy both of those things and also gained in ways I didn't expect. With a brief checking-in session at the start of each class I've heard about pregnancy from all sorts of stages and perspectives. Gabi has instilled birth breathing and relaxation techniques in us, giving me the confidence to take these skills into labour. I've also learnt lots from Gabi about my movements and baby positioning as well exercises that may help me with contractions. These skills have become an important part of my birth plan.

Meet Your Teacher

Gabi Chaney

Hi My name is Gabi I live by the sea in Sully, South Wales. I am a Mum of 3 little girls, two of which are twins. I have a passion for all things pregnancy, birth and motherhood, since pregnancy yoga was so beneficial with my own pregnancies.

I have trained with LushTums Yoga and continue to do so. I feel like all women should be suitably informed about what your amazing capable body is built to do during pregnancy, labour, birth and beyond. Knowledge is power.

I am also a property manager in Cardiff and a Dance Instructor by night. I consider myself a very positive person, I have lots of good energy to share and I like to help women feel empowered, confident and happy.

My inbox is always open if you have any questions and if you do decide to come along to one of my classes, you will be greeted with open arms and a great big smile!

Booking is essential. If you are on the Waitlist the system will notify you when/if a space comes up. Classes missed or cancelled late (within 12hrs of the class start time) will be charged as if attended. If you need to cancel your space, please do so in the above timetable within your account; cancellations can not be via email or text.
Please note - you need to use up your package of classes within the expiry date and with the teacher you have selected, as packages are not transferable to use with other teachers or to other students.
