CLASSES & COURSES

Booking Classes

  • Please find your nearest class and the right day and time for you. For many classes you can book easily via the Timetable, which uses a secure third-party online booking system. If you are new to the website you will be asked to create an account — it's quick and straightforward and ensures your space in our popular classes.

  • For all other classes, reserve your place by contacting your teacher directly. Payment is required in advance by online banking or cash at class.

  • Students must arrive at least 10 minutes before the class start time. Late arrival may result in the student not being admitted or your place being given to someone on the Waiting List.

  • Classes bought with any LushTums teacher or location are only redeemable with that teacher and are not transferable to other teachers or students.

  • Intro Offers and Class Packages must be used before the expiry date. No rollovers.

  • Be sure to tick to receive emails and notifications when you sign up, so our booking system can send you reminders on expiry dates and class changes.

  • Occasionally Pregnancy Classes in a package may be rolled over to Postnatal Courses on a case-by-case basis — please check directly with your teacher.

Cancelling Classes

  • Different teachers have different cancellation windows — some have a 12-hour policy, others 24 hours, others 48 hours. Such notice is required so that someone on the Waiting List can take the space. Any missed sessions without the appropriate notice will be charged as if attended.

  • Please log into your account to cancel your own classes. LushTums and our teachers cannot accept cancellations in person, via email, telephone or text — unless previously agreed with a specific teacher.

  • If you do not attend a session you booked online, your ability to book online may be suspended.

  • Teachers occasionally change at short notice. No refunds or exchanges will be given if there is a cover teacher, and the cancellation policy still applies.

  • 5-class packages have a 6-week expiry and 10-class packages have a 3-month expiry, beginning on the date of the first class booked.

  • Postnatal Yoga and Women's Yoga run as short term-time only courses — missed classes cannot be rolled over to the next term.

  • Check the Timetable for the latest details or contact your teacher directly, and be sure to use all your classes before they expire.

Cancellation of Courses & Workshops

  • All courses — such as our Yoga for Birth Workshop or Antenatal Education Course — need to be booked and paid for in full in advance to secure your space.

  • Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the course or workshop date cannot be refunded.

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance: 50% can be refunded, or you can transfer to an alternative course or workshop date.

Participation & Safety

By participating in any of our classes you are agreeing that you understand the following:

Starting our classes is no different to starting any other form of exercise — the same guidelines apply:

  • If you are pregnant and not used to regular exercise, it is recommended that you move carefully and wait until after 15–16 weeks before starting class. If you have a regular practice, good body awareness and feel safe starting earlier, please inform your teacher when booking.

  • If you are postnatal, please wait until 6 weeks after a vaginal delivery or 8 weeks after a caesarean section before beginning our classes. Please ask your doctor at your postnatal check-up about diastasis recti, SPD, hernia or any prolapse and inform your teacher before booking.

  • If you are coming to Women's Yoga, Postnatal Yoga or Pregnancy Yoga, please tell your teacher of any conditions, injuries, operations or medications that may affect your practice. If in doubt, please consult your doctor, midwife or healthcare professional.

  • In attendance at all classes, you understand that by participating you are wholly responsible for yourself. In the unlikely event of any injury or miscarriage, neither the teacher nor LushTums is in any way responsible.

Booking Agreement

When booking you will be asked to agree to the following:

  • I agree to adhere to the LushTums cancellation policy and understand that when I practise in class I am responsible for my own body and wellbeing.

  • I understand that information published on the LushTums website is provided for the use of its visitors and that, although care has been taken to ensure technical and factual accuracy, some errors may occur. No guarantee is given of the accuracy or completeness of information on these pages.

  • I am aware that LushTums may alter the information on its website from time to time and LushTums shall have no liability arising from the use of this information by any party.

  • I understand that LushTums does not warrant the information on this website in any way, and in particular no warranty is given that the website or its contents or hypertext links are virus-free or uncontaminated.

  • I agree to make my own virus checks and implement my own precautions. LushTums excludes all liability for contamination or damage caused by any virus or electronic transmission.

  • I agree that from time to time I may be included in photos and videos and give full permission to LushTums to use these online and in print for marketing and training purposes.

  • Students are required to give notice to LushTums of any change of home address, email address or contact phone number. Failing such notice, all communications will be assumed to have been received within five days of the email sent or mailing to the last address notified.

  • Any marketing, educational or other materials produced by LushTums in connection with the Classes and Services and made available to Students will at all times remain the property of LushTums and be subject to LushTums copyright.

TEACHER TRAININGS

Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with the terms below. By applying for any teacher training course with LushTums you are agreeing to comply with these terms and conditions.

Booking & Payment

  • Our Teacher Trainings need to be booked and paid for in full in advance, with a minimum of a third constituting a non-refundable deposit to secure your place.

  • If you need to spread the cost, a payment plan can be agreed. All monthly payments must be made and received within 6 months. If full payment has not been received, we reserve the right to pursue legal action including any costs incurred.

  • The remaining balance must be paid at least 4 weeks before the course commences.

  • If during the course, for some unforeseeable reason you cannot continue with the training, no refunds will be made.

  • In exceptional circumstances, on a case-by-case basis, our cancellation policies may be altered at the discretion of LushTums Ltd.

  • We reserve the right to update this policy at any time.

Completing Your Training

  • Once courses commence you are required to complete all self-study components and submit your assignments by the completion date. Failure to do so will result in you not receiving your certificate.

  • You must complete your training and submit all assignments within 12 months in order to qualify.

  • Any break in your studies or teaching for more than 12 months needs to be discussed with us in advance and may require you to complete a low-cost Refresher Course upon your return to teaching, in order to maintain the quality of our teachers and their offerings.

Copyright & Content

  • All training course content, video links and manuals are shared with you for your own study and reference only. These must not be shared with others — this constitutes a breach of copyright and our agreement.

  • All work produced for assignments must be in your own words. Any sources used must be credited accordingly.

  • Copyright of all LushTums content continues to be owned by Clare Maddalena and you cannot pass this off as your own.

  • We expect you to honour these teachings by recognising and crediting the LushTums brand name, displaying the logo and linking back to our websites where possible — thereby creating a recognisable mark and standard of excellence that people can rely on and trust in the pregnancy, birth and motherhood world.

  • The use of the LushTums trademark and logos is permitted on a case-by-case basis and can be withdrawn at any time.

Certification & Independence

  • Upon receiving your LushTums qualification certificate, and in the event that you begin teaching, you are responsible for your own insurance, registration with FEDANT and any and all tax with HMRC as an independent sole trader.

The LushTums Teachers Community

Once qualified, you are warmly invited to join our Teachers Community. Membership gives you inclusion on the LushTums website, a LushTums email address, invites to monthly Q&A Power Hours, access to a private teachers WhatsApp group, and special discounts on future trainings and CPDs. There is a set-up fee of £99 followed by a small monthly fee of £45.

Membership is subject to the Code of Conduct below. We do have an agreement within our Teachers Community regarding where you set up your classes — please see our Terms for full details — so that we can work together to support each other and avoid direct competition.

Trainee Teacher & LushTums Teacher Code of Conduct

Trainees and teachers are required to follow all LushTums codes of conduct and procedures and are expected to behave professionally at all times to uphold the good name of LushTums and our community. Standards of conduct include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining the highest level of teaching standards as a representative of LushTums, ensuring you are up to date on all the latest techniques and teaching according to the LushTums Method.

  • Before you begin teaching, consider where you plan to set up. Treat others local teachers as you would like to be treated. Agree to work collaboratively with local LushTums teachers in your area, not competitively. This may look like teaching at different venues, different parts of the town or city, different days and times, having open and kind conversations with each other, collaborating on marketing initiatives or attending events together.

  • Seeking help and advice whenever needed. No question is too small.

  • Taking responsibility for your own health and wellbeing and informing LushTums of any illness or injury that may impede your ability to teach.

  • Treating everyone with respect and compassion at all times. Any form of bullying will be treated seriously and may lead to termination of our relationship.

  • Following good karma by helping others in the Teachers Community. Harassment of the LushTums team or peers will not be tolerated.

  • Ensuring punctuality for all classes and finishing on time. For teacher training, all sessions must be attended and any absences agreed in advance.

  • Responding to client requests (emails, texts etc.) within 24 hours to maintain professional standards.

  • Treating all LushTums property and the property of others with respect.

  • Adhering to Health and Safety rules at all times.

  • Social media and PR: crediting LushTums and tagging us whenever sharing our content, ethos, values or philosophy. This includes naming your classes correctly — for example: LushTums Pregnancy Yoga / LushTums Antenatal Education — Prepare for Birth & Baby / LushTums Mum & Baby Postnatal Yoga / LushTums Beyond Postnatal / LushTums Women's Yoga / LushTums Mother's Yoga. It also includes tagging @LushTums and referencing LushTums in any social media content you share that you originally obtained through LushTums.

  • No breach of client or peer confidentiality will be tolerated.

  • Smoking and being under the influence of alcohol or substances is not allowed whilst teaching or participating in courses.

Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct will be handled by LushTums and may lead to a conduct warning, dismissal and removal from the Community and website.

Notice: If you decide to no longer teach, please give LushTums one month's notice so we can update our website and remove you from the Community. Should you act in a manner not in accordance with this Code of Conduct, LushTums retains the right to give immediate notice to quit — after which you may not use the LushTums brand or logo.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

  • LushTums (and/or Clare Maddalena) cannot be held responsible for any particular session, instructor or item of equipment not being available for whatever reason. The Company reserves the right to make alterations to sessions, instructors and equipment without notice and will not be liable for any loss occasioned by such alterations, except insofar as such loss is by law incapable of exclusion.

  • It is the student's responsibility to ensure they are capable of undertaking the exercises provided by any programme they follow or class they attend. Students accept the risk of injury from performing exercises and are advised to consult their doctor or midwife before beginning any session.

  • LushTums accepts no liability for loss or damage to students' property or for injury to students on studio premises or elsewhere, except insofar as such loss, damage or injury is by law incapable of exclusion.
