After living in London for many years, Jo is a now a new resident in Lewes, living here with her husband Matt and daughter Elodie who’s 18 months old. She has been practicing yoga for over six years, loving the effect it has on her physical and mental well being. She came to love it even more during pregnancy; the combination of gentle exercise, group bonding with other fabulous mamas-to-be, and the relaxation and calm that she came to cherish. Now a mama herself, she is passionate about how information can empower pregnant women and help them on their journey, and looks forward to sharing her knowledge of yoga, pregnancy, birth and mothering in her

Welcome to LushTums Lewes

You’ll find a range of classes here to help you be healthy and fit during pregnancy, informed and prepared for birth and safe and supported as a new mother. Our teachers provide nourishing and active classes in stunning venues all across the city. Use our timetable to pick a session time and location that suits you and then press 'Sign In' to reserve your space - bring cash along to pay your teacher directly. Be sure to arrive 5-10 mins before class to get yourself settled and so we can start on time.

New to yoga? That's ok! Classes are for complete beginners to expert yogis. Everyone is welcome. Wear comfy clothes you can move around in, bring a bottle of water. If you have any other questions at all, get in touch.  We'd love to hear from you. Feedback on Pregnancy Yoga:  "I really liked the structure of Jo's class – starting with the slowing of the breath, then movement to warm up the body and get the blood flowing, followed by exercises that are helpful for birth/pregnancy, with a visualisation at the end. There was some good advice about ways to calm myself with breathing and movement during labour, and I also found it very useful to get the details behind why certain poses are good/less suitable and also the yoga-background of some of them. Jo has a very calming and gentle voice & presence which is really suitable for the session, particularly after the stresses of work!" Taryn

Join us for our intensive birth preparation course & meet other expectant couples. Ideal for first time parents but also suitable for parents wishing to have a refresher.
